
Matthew Carroll is the Gordie Center’s APPLE Training Institute Program Coordinator. Matthew plays an integral role in planning the APPLE Training Institute, which is an NCAA grant-funded program that seeks to raise awareness about substance misuse prevention among college student-athletes. A key aspect of this program is providing student-athletes with information and resources they need to lead healthy and safe lifestyles while in college. Matthew provides assistance in planning, registration, and outreach for the APPLE Training Institutes and various other Gordie Center programs, as well as helping to write and edit the APPLE enewsletter. He recently received a bachelor's degree from the University of Virginia, and is a big fan of college athletics – especially UVA football.
